Day 6 Ajo to Scottsdale - 219 mi

The last day of the Arizona Grand Tour South curbs the Valley of Sun. You'll head north on the fine Arizona country road Old US-80 and gradually climb the Vulture Mountains. Vulture City was once one of the richest gold mines in the west. Unlike many ghost towns today, it still retains its authenticity. You can tap into the significance of German influence on this area by having a genuine "Schnitzel" at House Berlin in Wickenburg. Lake Pleasant is the last photo op before you re-enter the 21st century metropolis that you have completely forgotten about during your journey through space and time.
