The Baja
& Copper Canyon Tour is on paved roads throughout.
This is a favorite with couples bringing together the
adventure of foreign touring, the romance of beachside
resorts, the fascination of encountering native
indigenous peoples, the charm of Colonial Mexico and the
awesome land feature of the Copper Canyon. Starting on
the mainland of Mexico, riders will reach the Baja
Peninsula by way of overnight ferry from Topolobampo to
La Paz. Each day riders can look forward to a new
experience. An added bonus during the months of January
and February is a guided excursion for an up close look
at the Gray Whales. This is a tour with balance and
moderate pace, lending to the holiday nature of the
ride. Early bookings recommended. |

MotoDiscovery
takes the worry out of international travel, reserving
fine accommodations, handling border crossings, giving
bilingual assistance, and hosting great meals and
Mexican fiestas. Old world elegance, native Indian color; this is
the Colonial Tour. The real Mexico brought to you by
those who know Mexico best.

Highlights
- A great
winter escape. A train ride through the Copper Canyon
country of the Sierra Madres will have you marveling
at the challenges and hardships of the nearly 100 year
project to build a rail line from Texas to the Sea of
Cortez.
- Visit
Tarahumara Indians, native inhabitants of the Sierra
Madres, who are gaining world recognition as long
distance runners. Some still live in caves.
- Cha-Cha-Cha
...Cabo San Lucas is known for great beaches and
vibrant nightlife. Deep-sea fishing, diving, kayaking
or just relaxing make this a memorable stop.
- Thousands of
gray whales migrate from the northern Bering Sea to a
point off the coast of Baja to winter and nourish
their newborn calves. MotoDiscovery will arrange (Jan
& Feb only) a boat excursion to get up-close and
friendly with these mammoth mammals.
- The Baja
Peninsula is more than just desert. Touring
enthusiasts will appreciate the natural beauty and
varied scenery. From the southern tip at Cabo San
Lucas to Tijuana, each day is a remarkable touring
journey.
- Capture the
old colonial elegance of Mexico in the quaint town of
El Fuerte. Located in the foothills of the Sierra
Madres.
- Many riders
ship or trailer their bikes to Phoenix or Tucson,
making the escape from inclement weather conditions
more convenient.
