Open space, broad sweepers, sprawling vistas. One of the favorite rides among local motorcycle riders. The road is carved into the the steep walls of Yarnell Hill, following different tracks uphill and downhill. It is two rides in one. |
| Vulture Mine |
The Vulture Mine is about 14 miles from Wickenburg. In 1863 gold was discovered here. It is called the Vulture Mine because legend has it that a vulture felled by a gunshot landed near a gold nugget. In 1942 the mining here stopped. There are various buildings, a school and a hanging tree still to be seen there. |

Situated within rugged terrain in the northeastern part of the Sonoran Desert, these well-preserved cliff dwellings were occupied during the 13th, 14th, and early 15th centuries. Shallow caves overlooking Tonto Basin shelter masonry dwellings nearly 700 years old. There is also an amazing diversity of life in the desert. |

Today, it houses the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation, a school for architects, and is open to the public for tours. |

Theodore Roosevelt Lake (also known as simply Lake Roosevelt) is a large artificial reservoir formed by the construction of a masonry dam on the Salt River in 1911, making it the oldest artificial reservoir in Arizona. The scenic route 188 winds close to the shoreline of Roosevelt lake for all of its 18 mile length. |
